About the Fanlisting

When I first began reading fanfiction, I was (and still am) a hardcore Buffy/Angel shipper. But I was open to reading other pairings. I found Buffy/Giles.com, and while the idea had never once crossed my mind while watching the show, the pairing intrigued me, and I read almost every piece on the site. I paid little notice to author names.

As I searched for more fics, and joined countless mailing addresses, I kept seeing her name appear. Gileswench is not a name one easily dismisses. So many of her fics, I found myself empathizing with her characters, crying over their pain, laughing over their jokes, and in general having a good time reading.

I have never been good at sending feedback, but I try to keep up with her, and have even archived two of her stories at my personal fanfiction archive. Through her replies to my rambling feedbacks, and the way she writes, it's terribly obvious this is an amazingly witty and fun woman.

This fanlisting is my thank you gift to Da Wench, for supplying her readers with terribly fun and intriguing stories. I found that The Fanlistings were severely lacking in the Fanfiction author department, and that was just wrong in my opinion. As I thought about all the authors who deserve their own listings, Gilewench popped in my mind, and literally minutes later, I got an e-mail in my inbox. It was her reply to feedback I'd sent. I took that as a sign.
